The Manitoba Conservation District Association (MCDA) Conference is Dec 7-9th, 2015 at the Keystone Center, Brandon MB. The theme for this year’s conference is “40 Years of Water Management“. This is the 40th anniversary of the Manitoba Conservation Districts Association.

Southwest Manitoba Annual Water Festival
The Southwest Manitoba Annual Water Festival will be held at Whitewater Recreational Park near Elgin, MB this year in partnership with Turtle Mountain and Assiniboine Hills Conservation Districts. The goal of the Water Festival is “to educate and engage youth in the importance of healthy watersheds”.
The 12th Annual Water Festival is scheduled for September 21, 2016.
TMCD Annual Banquet
Banquet will be held March 21, 2016 at the Waskada Community Hall. Banquet will feature speakers Wanda McFadyen, Executive Director from the Assiniboine River Basin Initiative and Mathew Reimer local Killarney farmer and owner of Reimer Robotics. See TMCD Banquet Poster for more details.
TMCD hosts an annual banquet or tour in a different location each year. TMCD held a tour July 7th, 2015. Part of the Chain Lakes, Medora Creek and Turtlehead Creek sub-watersheds were toured. Water storage projects (Adair dam, L6 dam, Weidenhamer Backflood and Gustafson Dam) were tour stops along with the McGee frost free nosepump system.
